I'm Outsanity.

I live in Chicago and I'm nuts.
I like games, women, tits, vagina, porn, and tits. Oh, I forgot to say I like tits. So, if you're going to be a cuntloaf about nudity on Tumblr, then you're blogging on the wrong site. Nice to meet you. Now, take off your clothes and cough.

Feel free to ask me random things or maybe submit something.

Blocking Facebook Sponsored Ads

So, you know on Facebook that area near the right on the main page after you/you’re logged in? That sponsored area? Yeah, you can “disable” (meaning hide) it in AdBlock.

For Chrome: Click the ABP icon in the URL bar and pick “Easy create filter”. Mouse over the area where the sponsored ads area is. When you click on it, it should say “facebook.com##.ego_section”. Apply and it’s gone.

For Firefox: Depending on where your ABP button is you want to go to “Filter preferences”. When it’s opened, go to “Custom filters” and select “Element Hiding Rules”. Click the Add filter button and put in “facebook.com##.ego_section” and close it.

CSS layout gets smarter with calc()

webkitbits:

Didn’t even know about this feature, but it’s brilliant. A quick idea of what you can do:

#bar {
  height: calc(10em + 3px);
}

And regarding current support:

The calc() property for lengths is available now in Chrome 19 (Dev channel build) by use of the ‘-webkit-calc’ property, in Firefox since version 8 using the ‘-moz-calc’ property and in Internet Explorer since version 9 unprefixed.

Chrome users with non-running ‘Missing e’ extension, I need your help!

missing-e:

A small number of users have found that sometimes Missing e just stops running every once in a while. If you disable and re-enable it or uninstall/reinstall it, Missing e starts working again.

However, I’m trying to pin down the root cause. Since it hasn’t happened to me, I’m going to need some help!

Willing Chrome users: Next time your Missing e **stops working, please contact me before you fix it, so I can get you to check a few things!

Since I switched over to using Google Chrome I've been missing my Tumtaster greasemonkey script. Luckily, I can now publish this extension which builds on my original work. Besides adding download links to every single audio post, ChromeTaster now keeps track of all the audio posts you've seen recently on your dashboard or on various tumblr blogs. When I first started using ChromeTaster I was like, hell yeah, the people I follow have great taste in music, this is what I'm talking about!

Just click on the little Tumblr button next to your address bar and it'll show you all the posts that have audio tracks in them. click on the url of the post to play the song. If you right click on the Tumblr button next to your address bar you can edit options for repeat and random. Fair warning: the random is pretty crappy and you might get the same songs over and over again.

New in v0.3 is the whitelist and blacklist. You can prevent some songs from getting put onto your playlist. You can put in a username, artist, or song name. It will do partial matches, so be careful what you put in there.

IMPORTANT: To get MP3 playback to work you must add this extension to the flash allow list. You must visit this page - http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.html and add the following line:

chrome-extension:\\igkglbhdogeemdmnfdjgapgacfhgiikd\

I have tried Chrome's HTML5 support, but found their player to be absolutely unusable due to the amateur hour 0.5 second buffer causing awful interaction delays. When they fix this I'll switch it over to HTML5, until then you must add this extension to your flash allow list.
